Chief Forester for Scotland
The Chief Forester for Scotland is a fascinating appointment. Working closely with colleagues across the forestry sector you will have an engaging public role to champion the profession.
You will be the Head of Profession for staff in Scottish Forestry (SF) and Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS), with responsibility for promoting and maintaining professional standards. You will be an ambassador for the development of career opportunities for all across the sector, working with colleagues in the Learning and Skills Development teams in both SF and FLS, the wider sector and with those in Higher education.
Working with Scottish Government representatives you will provide impartial advice to Scottish Ministers.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, SF this is a renumerated role, requiring a time commitment of approximately 2 days per week.
