Job description

The role

Join our growing team as a Forester, responsible for hands-on project delivery—conducting site surveys, mapping, document preparation, and operational supervision. You’ll ensure our core values, outlined in our Woodland Charter, are upheld in every project. Reporting to a Senior Project & Forestry Consultant, you’ll receive high-level support while mentoring Graduates and Assistant Foresters.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans with the Senior Project & Forestry Consultant
  • Execute tasks like site surveys, mapping, documentation, and supervision
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Use Asana for project management and reporting
  • Contribute ideas and insights at company meetings

 

We’re looking for someone that is:

  • Proficient with technology (Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom, Asana, QGIS)
  • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Adaptable, able to navigate real-world complexities with problem-solving skills

 

You should have:

  • At least 2 years’ post-qualification forestry experience
  • Professional membership (or working toward) with the Institute of Chartered Foresters
  • Full UK driving license required
