Our Woodland Officers have a key role to play in helping to increase woodland creation, tackle climate change and combat nature loss. This is a varied role and your days will be spent carrying out grants and regulation work, providing guidance to woodland owners and promoting sustainable forest management. If you’re enthusiastic, practical and self-motivated then this could be the ideal job for you.
We currently have vacancies based at our offices in Dingwall, Hamilton and Selkirk, covering each of the surrounding areas. We offer hybrid working, so you’ll be able to divide your time between our offices, working from home and outdoors visiting sites.
You’d be joining a welcoming team of knowledgeable professionals who will support you to succeed in your role.
When you join us, you’ll also be enrolled onto our Woodland Officer Operational Development Sessions (WOODS), a structured programme to further develop your skills, knowledge and expertise.
